Sales Executive

Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States Full-time Allows remote

GENERAL ROLE DESCRIPTION

Builds business by identifying and selling prospects and maintaining relationships with clients in the school market.

 LOCATION & SCHEDULE

  • Can work remotely from a home-office or from our Lititz, PA headquarters (near Lancaster Airport)
  • Scheduled hours will be Mon-Fri 8 hours/day between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm
  • Overnight travel to conferences and trade shows including some, but not all, weekends between March and August

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Base salary between $45,000 - $60,000 annually - plus commission

RESPONSIBILITIES

Company and product knowledge

  • Become knowledgeable of company history, mission, vision, and products
  • Maintain knowledge as products are revised and/or new products are introduced

Contact, sell, and close

  • Interact with customers and prospective customers to inspire interest, demonstrate products and close sales
  • Search for and identify additional prospecting opportunities through associations, networking, daisy chain selling etc…
  • Document interactions in CRM software/database
  • Serve as event liaison as outlined by liaison processes and procedures when assigned

 Nurture relationships

  • Contact customers to ensure satisfactory purchase experience; troubleshoot problems, and share information with Director of Sales
  • Upsell additional products
  • Ask for school referrals

 Job expectations

  • Daily check emails, voicemails and faxes
  • Daily communicate with other team members
  • Daily research potential opportunities within sales territory to create new leads
  • Daily prospecting-Including cold calling, referral selling and Daisy chain selling
  • Weekly monitor accounts to ensure shipping, delivery, invoicing and billing maintenance issues, touching base to ensure satisfaction and referral opportunities.
  • Attend tradeshows
  • Complete and submit expense reports
  • Daily follow up with new sales opportunities in funnel to advance the sale
  • Competitive analysis/Industry knowledge/Networking
  • Update CRM and sales funnel
  • Territory Planning-This is done for entire year and revisited monthly

 

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma.

 

SKILLS NEEDED

  • Highly effective interpersonal skills
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel multiple weekends (Thursday – Sunday) during March through August
  • Proficiency in MS Office products

 

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

  • 3 years’ sales experience, preferably in educational sales or similar
  • History of effectively utilizing technology and software to enhance results and performance

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Sitting or standing for long periods of time
  • Overnight travel to company functions
  • Speaking on the phone and in person
  • Extensive typing on QWERTY style keyboard and viewing of lighted computer monitor
  • Reaching, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
